resemblance

Mommy's amazing Aunt Katy painted this watercolor of our girl.
Sophie instantly recognized that it was a likeness of herself.

gathering

Stone delighted in being the star of the show as we gathered to help him mark year #2.

He was gracious to allow his friends to share some of that spotlight.
Not that Sophie gave him a choice.

Shoeless Soph

Sophie somehow "lost" her shoes at school yesterday. And when I say lost, I mean stashed them somewhere.

Her teachers put out an APB on her neon pink crocs - checking garbage cans, behind bookshelves, etc.
They were worried we'd be mad. We thought it was pretty funny.

Meanwhile she came home with pretty grubby socks.

Fabulous vintage wallpaper tree installed?

Sophie has moved into her Big Girl Room.

The downside:
We no longer have a guest room. (unless you count booting Soph to a sleeping bag)

The upside:
We have a girl who is super excited about the transition from her crib.
Completely worth it.

home-grown super heroes

Clearly, trick-or-treating with Stone required a costume change.

Instantly "Stophie" transformed into the SuperHeroes of their own (mommies') design. They had capes. They had shoes with flames. They were fearless. They were ready to take on the neighborhood, trick-or-treat style.

They opted not to wear their masks, as they feel the world is ready to see their true identity. Hope they don't regret it like Kiss did in 1983...
