Happy Earth Day

From someone who loves to be "outside!"

Stone and his Mama came over for a slumber party while Daddy went to run the Boston Marathon.

Soph and Stone read together.


Pushed carts together.


Held hands.


Raced cars.
(SJ was convinced that wearing only one sock gave her a competitive edge.)


Threw the frisbee for Rocky.


Planned their escape together.
(They did not know they were being followed and were quite surprised when Mommy arrived on the scene to spoil their caper.)


Prepared for their bath.


And had fun splashing together.


But I think both would agree that spitting out water was a distinct highlight.

This explains the soaking wet floor.

World Autism Awareness Day

Today is a very special day to us.

Sophie's sweet twin cousins, Carson and Cannon, have autism.



Given the prevalence of autism and the woefully low level of funding, we are so happy the UN has designated this day as World Autism Awareness Day.

That's not a typo.

Every morning Sophie will ask to go "sungle" (snuggle) while she drinks her milk. No matter what we're doing we drop everything to accommodate this request.
